About Me

My name is Becky Baxter.  I am currently a stay at home mom to my sweet little Sara Jo.  Before she entered the world I was convinced I would continue to work in the classroom.  However, after a few months of being home I realized I wasn't ready to go back.   I have LOVED staying home and being a mommy full time.  I say that lightly.. because I also recently just finished my M.ed in Instructional Technology.

I have 4 and a half years teaching.  I taught Kindergarten for 4 years and LOVED it!!!  That is truly where my passion lies (with the younger ones).  While there I was blessed with a plethora of technology.  My favorite being the Promethean Board.

By the end of my first year I was creating things for other teachers and myself.  I began to realize that I had developed a new passion-- and that was creating resources to share with others.  I was in charge of the Kindergarten Common Assessments for several years as well as collecting and analyzing our team data.  Creating these assessments were the perfect practice to learn how to properly interpret a standard and create an assessment to match it.  I was also asked to helped with a few different in-services at my school and at a few others.  I am excited to help train some teachers this Fall on Promethean Boards!

I also taught 3rd grade virtually for half a year with TN Virtual Academy.  It's a part of K12.  It was an awesome expereience and I was blessed with the opportunity.  I did not return because my husband and I decided I would stay home full time.  I'm thankful for the experience- who knows.. I might one day return!

I love to find ways to incorporate technology into every lesson!  I also LOVE to create things to sale on tpt.  I have been somewhat successful, but I hope attending the conference this summer I will learn some valuable tips and tricks on how to better market myself!

This season in my life seems to be a bit of a whirl wind-- but I am loving the ride!  I have been incredibly blessed to spend so much time with my daughter. Thankfully, I have a husband who is supportive of my hopes and dreams.  I love my precious family!  I am thankful God has blessed me with all these wonderful opportunities.  I love seeing how his plan continues to grow and change for me
