I'm linking up with Mrs. McClain to share something that teachers oughta know!!!
We all LOVE Youtube and including video's in our lessons. But-- I cannot stand when there is an Ad before the video I want to play. It always makes me feel like a wonderful educator when something incredibly inappropriate pops up before I show a video on the letter Hh or when I'm learning about Polar Bears. Why do they put weird ads before a letter video???? Don't they think about their audience. People watching the letter Hh and singing about a letter don't want to see an ad or video of the thong song or something insanely weird...
Ok, off my soap box!!!
I'm here to tell you there is a way around those annoying ads that you oughta know about....
Meet Safe Share.
You can copy and paste any YouTube video and it will generate a safe link. Copy that link or hyperlink it into your lesson and viola----
No Ads or awkward images will show!
Hop on over to Mrs. McClain's blog to check out some other tips, tricks and ideas that you oughta know!
That is awesome, they have the most inappropriate ads sometimes! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is so helpful! I cannot even count the times where I showed a video and at the end all of those other completely inappropriate and unrelated video recommendations popped up!! Eeeek! Thank you for sharing.

Becky, Do you need help putting the html in for the linky? I don't see an email on the blog, but feel free to contact me FernleySmith@gmail.com and I will be happy to help so your readers can see the rest of the bloggers posts.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Fern
Thank you so much for following me and pinning! And, I added it but when I saved it in HTML and updated.. it just showed the link. Not sure why or if maybe it wasn't active yet.. I may contact you for next time because I have done stuff using HTML before, but I wasn't able to figure it out this time. That's very sweet of you to offer your help.
DeleteI NEED to do this!! I have had that happen many many times!!
