Lesson Plans for an ENTIRE year!!!

This post is going to be short and sweet....

Me neither

We laugh.. but teachers feel this way pretty much 100% of the time!  As soon as you catch up, you realize you still have 50 million other things to do-- and that doesn't even include home responsibilities, children, grading homework, having a relationship with your significant other and don't even get me started on cooking.  I rarely ever did that while I was in the classroom!

The list goes on....

Well, I created a home school curriculum for a family who wanted similar lesson plans to what I did in my classroom.

ta-da--- I finished!!!

Basically, I just created lesson plans for an entire year.. I know right- insane genius!  Well, this is "geared" towards a home school family. And I plan to one day go back and make one that is "meant" for the classroom.  But for now-- if you could use a "break" from planning-- check this out!

PS- It's on sale for 20% off for the next 24 hours!!!!!!

September Math Journal Prompts

I absolutely LOVE interactive journals!!!  I am still working on other subject areas, but for now I use them in Math and Science.

Here are some sample pages from my
September Math Journal Prompts in action:

I have always taught thematically, so the main themes in the September pack are Apples and Farm.  However, about half of them are general prompts (like the dice, ten frame and putting numbers in order).  All of these are based off standards taught early in the year for K students.

If you're interested in using interactive math journals and don't know where to start.. these are perfect!  Each prompt has pictures for your kiddos to work the problem out.  This helps little learners to solve the problem without getting distracted from drawing out pictures, etc..  It also offers a quick assessment for the teacher.

Check them out here!

August Kindergarten Home School Curriculum

I have been soooooo busy the last few weeks.. not just because I am a mommy, wife, pampered chef consultant, blogger, etc..

but

because I have been working on a HUGE project!!!  All my extra time and energy has gone into creating a Kindergarten Home School Curriculum.  My daughter is only 16 months old, so it's not for me.. I had a friend approach me about it.. I thought for a few days and decided I could really make something fabulous!

She has already seen August and September.  I have only added August to tpt, but I plan to add September soon.

My plan is to finish the entire 10 month set by August.. cross your fingers....

I'm sure you're wondering what's inside....

Well, I have included detailed daily lesson plans.  That's right.. I typed up what I did every day in Kindergarten and adapted it to a home school setting.  I have included links to You tube videos I played in my own classroom, online games and resources.  Behind each weeks lesson plans are all the printable resources you need!

Below is a sample daily plan from the August Curriculum:

If you are interested in home schooling, but don't know where to start... check this out!!!  It includes activities for every subject area and comes straight from a classroom teacher.

I plan to do a more detailed post later, but for now I just had to share the big news!  Pass it on if you know of anyone interested in home schooling.
